
Firhouse Community Centre is situated in the heart of Firhouse. Opened in 1987, phase two was completed in 2000. The Centre has developed and continuosly improved over the years.
Firhouse Community Centre was delighted to be the recipient of a share in the 2019 €300,000 Have Your Say to create a Health and Wellbeing Garden beside the centre. Have Your Say is a scheme run by SDCC and encourages people to nominate and vote for projects in their area.

As part of the Firhouse Hub we were runner up in the IPB Pride of Place urban neighbourhood section 2019. The Firhouse Hub consists of three buildings and five anchor groups, Firhouse Community Centre, Firhouse Notre Dame Basketball, Firhouse Carmel FC, 146th Scouts and Firhouse Mens Shed. We are honoured to be part of such a fantastic group.




In 2018 our Manager received the Dublin Bus Community Spirit award, for her tremendous work setting up an Active Age Club in the Centre and in 2019 was nominated for Tallaght Person of the year.

Located just off the M50 Firhouse Community Centre services a population of circa 9,000. Firhouse Community Centre prides itself on providing activities that contribute to the social, physical and mental wellbeing of the community.
The Premises
Firhouse Community Centre is a multipurpose building comprising of a full size basketball hall, six meeting/activity rooms, a cafe, and a members bar. The Centre opens from 7am Monday to Friday and from 9am at weekends. As well as hosting a huge range of activites we also facilitate functions and fundraisers.

Our mission is to provide a high quality facility that welcomes and supports all members of the community and is committed to supporting and promoting social, educational, physical, cultural and recreational activities in a safe, friendly and respectful environment.
